To enjoy: Each broth bag makes about a gallon of broth. Here is how I make my chicken stock Add chicken parts, fresh or frozen, into a pot, top with water and add 1 herbal broth brew bag. You are going for about a 3:1 ratio of water to chicken parts. Each broth bag is for a 1-gallon broth batch. Heat to boiling then cover, reduce heat, and simmer for about 2-3 hours until meat comes off the bone easily. Strain hot stock and refrigerate or freeze. When meat becomes cool enough to handle, you could also pull all these soft tissues off the bone and save them for future recipes like soups, etc. Notes You could add flavorful herbs and/or veggie scraps in the last 30 minutes or so as well. Choose collagen-rich parts like feet, back, skin, neck, and giblets for rich connective tissue and gut healing properties. Plus they are the least expensive so double win! I do not salt my broth only because I use this for so many applications. I just salt as needed when using it in recipes. Otherwise, feel free to add salt and spices!
